A Match Made in Heaven

We’re Gabrielle and Richard Marcin, and bread is in our blood. Our ancestors cultivated land and created magic from the humble bounty of farm and field. We aim to bring together that family tradition of artisan bread-making with our own bold approach to sensory experimentation.

Gabrielle

With her background in shamanism and energy healing, bread-making was seemingly an unexpected plot twist for Gabrielle Marcin. And yet baking is nothing short of alchemy, an ancient practice that comes naturally to Gabrielle and pairs perfectly with her metaphysical offerings.

Richard

When he’s not fixing vintage motorcycles, woodworking, or caring for animals in his veterinarian practice, Richard can be found baking up a storm. It all started with perfecting wood-fired pizza to share with friends and family, and soon Richard was in deep with dough. His inquiring mind led him to an artisan bread-making intensive at the San Francisco Baking Institute, and Almost Heaven Bakery was born.
